Pro Bono supports FPA’s Core Values by offering workshops on financial literacy and providing financial planning services to the public, focusing on underserved and at-risk communities. Pro Bono financial advice and coaching allow members of the community to experience the true value of objective financial advice in a safe, no-strings-attached environment.
Previous Programs and Awards:
Financial Planning Association of Georgia initially partnered with AVLF to do free one-on-one financial consultations with AVLF’s clients on the first Saturday of the month. But when the pandemic hit, FPA of Georgia realized how vital financial guidance would be in a time when so many where experiencing the economic effects of COVID. So they showed up for the Atlanta community by changing their monthly sponsorship dates to a weekly commitment. Every Saturday, FPA of GA members advised clients on how to manage their finances during COVID, where to find financial resources including job opportunities, and pursuing financial dreams like owning a home and entrepreneurship. In 2020, FPA of Georgia sponsored 21 Saturday financial planning clinics and led 10 webinars for AVLF clients. Financial Planning Association of Georgia, thank you for showing up!
